Sir,
I have the honour to confirm, with regret,
my telegram of the 17th of October reporting the death as
the result of a bathing accident of Mr. T. Duckworth, Frison
Warder on the 9th of October.
2. 1 attach copies of a report by the Superintendent of Prisons with regard to the accident,
together with extracts from the Chine Mail and South China Morning Post of 10th and 11th October and would ask that these may be transmitted to Mr. Duckworth's relatives with an expression of my sincere sympathy with them in their
logs.
